Rosario Resort is just one of the many historically rich destinations in the San Juan Islands. The resort is home to the Moran Mansion which is now used as both lodging accommodations for island visitors and the Moran Museum which holds original photographs, furniture, fixtures and displays from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s.
You can read more about Seattle Shipwright Robert Moran and the history of his beloved resort here.
Why we love it: Other than the incredible history that surrounds the grounds, the resort is pretty much full service! Who can beat a hotel, marina, spa, pool, restaurant, and more? Added bonus: daily (except Sundays) from June through September, Christopher Peacock plays original compositions on the 1900 Steinway Grand Piano for guests to enjoy.
The resort is also closest to beautiful Moran State Park where you can hike up to the observation tower atop Mt. Constitution. Here you can view the islands in their entirety!
So make sure that you visit Rosario Resort to experience the incredible history that the resort has to offer.
